Davines NouNou
Simply divine. I like Davines' NouNou scent A LOT, it's not "chemical" at at all, it smells like something soft and caring and natural and earthly and fresh... it's a serious mood lifter for me :)I've tried NouNou shampoo, conditioner and mask. The conditioner and mask have been my long time favourites and life savers. The shampoo is okay, but nothing spectacular - does the job and goes well with other products in the line :) I usually just buy the conditioner or the mask, and shampoo with something cheaper.
One time I accidentally bought MoMo conditioner and unfortunately, this was a total disappointment. MoMo is meant for dry and dehydrated hair (like mine), but for some reason it didn't work at all... So I guess it really depends.
The only thing with Davines is that their conditioners are not travel friendly so if you don't have much room in your luggage you have to find another, more suitable container for travelling. And if you do pack the whole thing, please make sure the lid is properly closed and packed or you it will flood your luggage... On the other hand this kind of design is that you can use up 100% of the product. And the bucket itself may serve you later as a handy thing to put your brushes or plants in or something ;)
Ingredients
Conditioner:+ smells good
+ you can get 100% of the product out of the shampoo bottle & conditioner/mask jar
– contains parabens
– contains sulphates
Paul Mitchell
I have tried several of Paul Mitchell products - Original Avapuhi shampoo & conditioner, One shampoo, Detangler conditioner, Extra Body shampoo & conditioner, Platinum Blonde shampoo and their Super Skinny serum. Of these I have to say I loved the Avapuhi shampoo, Original conditioner (both smell like paradise) and Extra Body. I found all these made my hair feel better, softer, shinier and more managable. Extra Body does what it is supposed to - gives volume, and also makes my hair look & feel good, although the volume is only noticeable until the next day (but that is perhaps expected, my hair is very long and straight).Super Skinny serum used to be a big hit a few years ago when all this hair oils craze started and I used to like it at first but then I discovered I'm using it more for the scent (it smells like sweet paradise) than the effect of it, so I ended up selling it.
+ does not test on animals
+ pretty good amount for the price, middle-range salon grade products
– pretty strong scents to them, you might not like 'em (which is interesting because I do not see parfum/fragnance listed in their ingredients on MakeUpAlley)
– contains parabens
– contains sulphates
Senscience
I have tried Senscience True Hue and Smooth shampoo & conditioner and gotta say they work great. If they weren't so expensive (18-22 € / 250-300 ml) I'd buy them more often.True Hue
Their web page says it's "a gentle, sulfate free cleansing and conditioning system that prevents color fadage while leaving hair soft, manageable and shiny. True Hue shampoo cleanses away residue with a luxurious lather without stripping the hair of its natural moisture. True Hue conditioner improves the manageability and elasticity of hair, adds softness and slip and imparts a high degree of gloss and sheen while also protecting hair from UV and environmental aggressors."- I can agree with all that :) Kudos for being sulphate-free (y).
Smooth
"Soybean Extract, Silicone and Guar Gum work from the inside out and outside in, bonding to the structure of hair to strengthen and add protection and leaving hair silky smooth, superbly manageable and brilliant. Smooth shampoo cleanses, calms and softens unmanageable hair. Smooth conditioner replenishes and nurtures dried-out hair and restores its healthy, silky smooth texture."
+ does not test on animals
+ sulphate-free (and still lathering well)
Initially, I was going to mention Redken All Soft here which are great products, but after a little research I found out Redken belongs to L'Oreal and THEY TEST ON ANIMALS. Testing on animals is NOT ACCEPTABLE in the 21st century; I am very disappointed and I will not be buying their stuff again >:(
